Dr. Edward B. Schofield

Dr. Ned Schofield received his B.A. from The Citadel in 1966 and worked after graduation as a computer systems analyst for RCA. During this period of employment with RCA, he received his M.A. in English (Northeastern, 1969). RCA subsequently awarded Ned the David Sarnoff Fellowship to attend Harvard Graduate School of Education where he studied computers in education and in 1971, he received his M.S.Ed. He received his Ed.D. in 1974, also from Harvard. In 1975, he assumed the role of Teaching Principal in Arlington, Massachusetts, grades 5-8, where he also taught English. In 1977, he became Principal of an elementary school in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where he later became Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. In 1991, Ned moved to Connecticut to assume the position of Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for the Glastonbury Public Schools where he remained until 2005.
