Standards
Welcome to
Thinking about Tomorrow Today™. This unique and exciting program starts with a basic question, “What are the attributes and skills students must possess to succeed both in and outside school today, and tomorrow as working adults?” To answer this critical question, the curriculum developers incorporated research and recommendations from several highly respected organizations:
- SCANS
- Partnership for 21st Century Skills
- National Association of Colleges and Employers
- New England League of Middle Schools
- Achieve
- 2005 Skills Gap Report from the National Association of Manufacturers
- Departments of Education for 21 states, all with well defined curriculum standards for “workplace readiness”
The result is the following comprehensive and truly interdisciplinary Curriculum Frameworks, each supported by a set of detailed standards. As a result of
Thinking about Tomorrow Today™ students will be able to:
1. Communicate effectively, clearly and appropriately.
2. Maintain high standards of personal behavior.
3. Measure personal performance against recognized standards and expectations.
