Welcome to Thinking about Tomorrow Today™. This unique and exciting program starts with a basic question, “What are the attributes and skills students must possess to succeed both in and outside school today, and tomorrow as working adults?” To answer this critical question, the curriculum developers incorporated research and recommendations from several highly respected organizations: The result is the following comprehensive and truly interdisciplinary Curriculum Frameworks, each supported by a set of detailed standards. As a result of Thinking about Tomorrow Today™ students will be able to:
1. Communicate effectively, clearly and appropriately.
2. Maintain high standards of personal behavior.
3. Measure personal performance against recognized standards and expectations.
4. Use critical thinking skills.
5. Convey eagerness in mastering tasks and acquiring new skills.
6. Take initiative to solve problems and make effective decisions.
7. Apply education in a work environment.
8. Use information and communication technology appropriately.
9. Work cooperatively.
10. Contribute to the betterment of the community.
The result is a comprehensive program including suggested lessons, teaching materials, assessment strategies, journaling, and classroom activities all designed to actively engage young adolescents.
