Thomas J. Kalinske

Tom Kalinske is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Leapfrog Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: LF), Mr. Kalinske is also a member of the Board of Directors of Blackboard, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBB), a leading provider of “e-Education” enterprise software applications and services. He serves on the board of Kidzui, Inc., a venture backed startup that has developed a safe search site for children with collaborative Web projects that are fully monitored, and on the board of Genyous Biomed International, Inc. a leader in the discovery, development, and manufacturing of multifunctional multitargeted (MFMT) therapies. Mr. Kalinske has recently served as the Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Keys School, an independent kindergarten through 8th grade school. From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Kalinske served as CEO and Chairman of Leapfrog from 1997 to 2004. Mr. Kalinske served as the president of Knowledge Universe LLC (now renamed Krest LLC), a private company focused on building leading companies in areas relating to education, technology and career management and the improvement ofindividual and corporate performance. He served as president and CEO of Sega of America from 1990 to 1996. He was president and CEO of the Universal Matchbox Group from 1987 to 1990. Mr. Kalinske was with Mattel, Inc. (NYSE: MAT), from 1972 to 1987, where he rose to become its president and co-CEO from 1985 to 1987. He is a past board member of the Milken Family Foundation and of Spring Group PLC, the National Education Association Foundation for the Improvement of Education and of the RAND Education Board. He earned a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin and his MBA degree from the University of Arizona.
